LEWES – DNREC Natural Resources Police Park Rangers arrested a Milford man on multiple charges July 30 at Cape Henlopen State Park after park rangers observed what appeared to be illegal drugs in plain view inside a vehicle at the park.

Trey S. Mata, 20, was charged with four felonies: possession of a firearm during commission of a felony; possession of a firearm/ammunition by a person prohibited with a prior drug conviction; possession of a semi-automatic handgun by a person prohibited; and possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (cocaine). Mata also was charged with the following misdemeanors: criminal impersonation, resisting arrest, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Mata was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 3 in Georgetown and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution in lieu of $41,500 secured bond, pending arraignment in Superior Court.
