Attorney General Matt Denn announced the appointment of new veteran Delaware Department of Justice attorneys to leadership positions at the department.

Denn said that Aaron Goldstein has been named Chief Deputy Attorney General, taking over for LaKresha Roberts who left the department earlier in January.

Goldstein has served since 2015 as State Solicitor, which is the head of the DOJ Civil Division. Goldstein has been with the Department of Justice since 2004, including previously serving as head of the Department’s Health Law Unit and assistant head of the Government Services Unit, both in the Civil Division. Prior to working at the Department of Justice, he worked in a private law firm, in the New Castle County Office of Law, the City of Wilmington Law Department and as an Assistant Public Defender. He was chosen as a Henry Toll Fellow by the Council of State Governments in 2011. Goldstein is a graduate of the University of Delaware and Widener University School of Law.

Allison Reardon has been named to be State Solicitor, replacing Goldstein.

Reardon has served since 2015 as the Director of the Office of Civil Rights and Public Trust, an office created Attorney General Denn. Prior to 2015, Reardon served as State Solicitor from 2012 to 2015, so she is now returning to that role. She has also served as Group Leader for the Administrative Law and Education Group and Section Leader for the Government Services Unit. She has 25 years of service with the DOJ and worked in a private law firm for 5 years. Reardon is a graduate of the University of Delaware and Widener University School of Law.

“I am thankful to have Aaron and Allison fill these important leadership roles and am confident in their abilities, have served with them since I took office three years ago. They both have extensive experience at DOJ and the solid judgment needed to carry out the responsibilities of Chief Deputy and State Solicitor respectively,” Attorney General Denn said.
