Flag Lowering for Passing of Former Representative Katharine Jester

Governor Carney has ordered the United States and Delaware flags at state buildings and facilities be flown at half-staff beginning today, July 19 to mark the passing of former Delaware Representative Katharine Jester. Representative Jester served the residents of the Middletown area  and was elected to the House of Representatives in 1980 and served until 1990. She was the Chair of the House Education Committee during the 132nd General Assembly.

Services for Representative Jester will be held tomorrow, July 20 therefore flags are to be returned to full staff tomorrow at the close of business.
