The Department of Justice has secured 40 convictions, including multiple murder and attempted murder charges, against two members of the violent Wilmington-area gang NorthPak, Attorney General Kathy Jennings announced Wednesday.

“Thanks to an outstanding trial team and tireless investigators, led by the Wilmington Police Department, justice was delivered today,” said Attorney General Jennings. “These verdicts, and the facts of this case, are  precisely why our office is laser-focused on prosecuting gun violence. While nothing can undo the enormous damage and loss that NorthPak and gangs like it have wrought upon this community, I hope that today’s verdict will bring some sense of justice to the victims of this violent gang and to a city that has been terrorized by a small but dangerous criminal element.”

A New Castle County jury returned the following guilty verdicts against Defendants Elijah Coffield and Greg Wing:

Elijah Coffield:

  • Two counts of Murder 1st  Degree for the murders of Ollier Henry on September 8, 2020 and Shareef Hamilton on September 23, 2020
  • Five counts of Attempted Murder 1st Degree
  • Reckless Endangering 1st Degree
  • Nine counts of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
  • Five counts of Conspiracy 1st Degree
  • Illegal Gang Participation

Greg Wing:

  • Two counts of Murder 1st Degree for the murders of Ollier Henry on September 8, 2020 and Taquan Davis on September 23, 2020
  • Four counts of Attempted Murder 1st Degree
  • Seven counts of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony
  • Three counts of Conspiracy 1st Degree
  • Illegal Gang Participation

NorthPak has been at the center of a series of indictments and a longtime investigation by the DOJ, the Wilmington Police Department, and a coalition of local, state, and federal partners. The gang has been connected to a string of felonies, including a litany of shootings and several murders and attempted murders.

Coffield and Wing will be sentenced by a Superior Court judge following a presentence investigation. Their convictions were secured by Deputy Attorneys General Joseph Grubb, Erika Flaschner, and AJ Hill, with support from DOJ Gang and Intelligence Analyst Daniel Masi, paralegals Julia Bacon and Sarah Molaski, Investigator Thomas Dempsey, Social Workers Crystal Pitts and Donna Lindsey, and Trial Management Analyst Theodore Griffin, following an investigation led by the Wilmington Police Department that also involved the New Castle County Police Department, the Delaware State Police, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
