OHS Releases DUI Checkpoint Results, Reinforces Ongoing Efforts to Reduce Impaired

The Delaware Office of Highway Safety (OHS) in partnership with the Delaware State Police and local law enforcement agencies across the state, conducted a Driving Under the Influence (DUI) Checkpoint on Friday, September 11, 2026, in Sussex County.
A total of 671 vehicles passed through the checkpoint, resulting in five DUI arrests.
The checkpoint was part of Delaware’s ongoing efforts to prevent impaired driving and encourage motorists to make responsible choices before getting behind the wheel.
