The Delaware Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is excited to unveil the latest edition to their online services at dmv.de.gov, Della the Chatbot.
Della began assisting customers on the website in early June 2024. DMV partnered with Google Cloud and SID Global Solutions Digital in the development of the AI-powered chatbot that will provide customers with human-like contact and improve the overall experience for those in need of online services.
“Google Cloud is dedicated to supporting government agencies in their digital transformation efforts. We believe that AI has the potential to significantly enhance citizen services while democratizing AI for the public, and we are excited to see how Dell will streamline interactions with DMV,” said Amina Al Sherif, Generative AI Lead, Google Government.
Sudi Navile, CEO of SID Global Solutions Digital said, “SIDGS is committed to helping state agencies leverage technology to better serve their constituents. We are proud to have partnered with Google Cloud and DMV to bring Della to life, and we look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on Delawareans.”
“Everything we execute on a daily basis is dictated by state or federal law, code, regulations or policy,” said Secretary of Transportation Nicole Majeski. “As you can imagine, the amount of data is extensive and can be overwhelming to navigate. That is where Della comes in. She exists to scour our website for the answer to your question, so you do not have to,” concluded Majeski.
“Think of Della as your DMV.de.gov personal assistant,” shared Director of DMV Amy Anthony. “Her goal is to help answer your questions, locate the information you need in a timely fashion, and make using DMV.de.gov easier for our customers. We are so excited to welcome Della to the DMV family,” continued Anthony.
DMV.de.gov gets 607,440 views per month. The myDMV page is the most visited on the website with 181,143 views per month. The next time you visit dmv.de.gov consider allowing Della to assist you. As with all AI, the more Della assists the better her performance.
