Delaware farmers’ markets post record sales for 2012 season

Delaware’s farmers’ markets sold nearly $2 million in fresh produce and other goods this season, a new record for the rapidly-growing community-run market program, according to the Delaware Department of Agriculture.

The Delaware Fresh mobile app now features more than 30 farms that sell the First State’s holiday firs, spruces and pines, including updated hours and shopping information.




Four Delaware farms recognized as Century Farms

Four families which have owned their farms for at least 100 years have been honored as Century Farms in a ceremony honoring Delaware agriculture’s long heritage and historic roots. There are now 121 Century Farms in Delaware.
