DNREC’s Recycling Team in the Division of Waste & Hazardous Substances is providing a valuable Universal Recycling preview in the form of free onsite waste assessments to organizations and schools in Delaware who might want to apply for recycling grants or low-interest loans offered this year by DNREC.

The DNREC Division of Energy & Climate will host two public workshops Sept. 9 and 12 on renewable energy incentives offered by the Green Energy Fund for Delmarva Power & Light (DPL). The Green Energy Fund provides grants to DPL customers for small scale solar and geothermal installations.

Among scenic dunes overlooking the Atlantic Ocean, the Fort Miles Museum’s newest exhibit, the World War II Artillery Park, was officially opened with DNREC and the Fort Miles Historical Association hosting Governor Jack Markell, US Senator Tom Carper, local dignitaries and military veterans including honored guest Robert Sauppee, who was reunited with his personal history Friday morning in Cape Henlopen State Park.
