Universal recycling grants, loans available for Delaware’s commercial sector, including businesses and institutions

Applications are being accepted through March 28 for Universal Recycling grants and low interest loans for Delaware’s commercial sector to assist them in collecting, transporting, processing and marketing recyclables.




Volunteers sought for 22nd annual Christina River Cleanup on April 6

DNREC Secretary Collin O’Mara encourages volunteers to join the Christina River Cleanup along the river and several of its tributaries on Saturday, April 6 from 8 a.m. until noon at 12 sites throughout northern New Castle County. Due to other activities that day, two sites will begin the cleanup early – the City of Newark at 7:30 a.m. and the Naamans Creek site at 8 a.m.




Junior Duck Stamp winners to be displayed at Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge March 23 to 30

The winning entries of the 2013 Delaware Junior Duck Stamp Competition will be judged at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 23 at the Prime Hook National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center, 11978 Turkle Pond Road, Milton.
