Commissioner Stewart Takes Action On Workers’ Compensation Insurance Rates

Commissioner Stewart approved an amended filing submitted by the Delaware Compensation Rating Bureau, Inc. (DCRB) which proposed an overall average increase of 14.6 percent in voluntary market loss costs and 19 percent in residual market rates.

As a result of a recently completed Market Conduct Examination performed by The Delaware Department of Insurance, State Farm Fire and Casualty Company has been ordered to review its protocols regarding the application of underwriting guidelines for Delaware’s coastal region and adjusts the language included in non-renewal notices distributed by the company.
