Surrounded by lawmakers early this morning, Governor Jack Markell signed a balanced Fiscal Year 2015 budget to cap a legislative session focused on increasing economic opportunity for all Delawareans.

“For our young people to have the chance to make the most of their talents, we need to recognize that more than 60 percent of jobs will require some additional education or training,” said Governor Markell. “Many students face simple yet overwhelming barriers to getting the education they deserve. By giving them the chance to reach their potential, we’ll keep Delaware moving forward.




Lt. Governor in Newark for Events on Wednesday

Lt. Governor Denn will visit Las Américas ASPIRA Academy to see the examples of work from the QUEST program and will participate in the ribbon cutting for Integrity Staffing Solutions, recently relocated to a larger and more expansive office campus located at the Iron Hill Corporate Center.




Lt. Governor Delivers Dover High School Commencement Address

DOVER, Del. – This evening, Lt. Governor Denn will deliver the Commencement Address to the Dover High School Class of 2014. This is the Dover High’s 113th commencement program and the last to be held at this location. 6:00pm – 7:00pm Commencement Address Dover High School Stadium 1 Patrick Lynn Drive Dover, DE 19904
