The governor, school officials, and state elected officials got a preview of four brand new, state-of-the-art water slides at the Killens Pond State Park waterpark.

Delaware hunters donated 586 deer to DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife’s Sportsmen Against Hunger program during the 2015/16 season. The donations were processed into 16,599 pounds of venison, which will provide more than 72,000 meals for needy Delawareans.




Delaware promoting Operation Dry Water June 24-26 to prevent boating under the influence and help save lives on the water

DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police announced Delaware’s active participation in Operation Dry Water, an annual nationwide enforcement and education campaign aimed at preventing alcohol and drug-related boating accidents and fatalities, over the June 24-26 weekend.




Hearns Pond dam and boat ramp now closed for up to a year while replacement structures are built

The Hearns Pond dam and boat ramp, located north of Seaford, are now closed and will remain closed for up to one year while a replacement dam and ramp are built.
