Delaware Tourism Office/Visit Delaware sponsors State Parks’ June 5 as ‘Free Day in the Park’ across Delaware

People will have a special opportunity June 5 to “Visit Delaware,” for Delaware State Parks’ “Free Day in the Park,” thanks to the Delaware Tourism Office – Visit Delaware. Every state park will be free to enter that day – excluding Fort Delaware, State Line Beach and the Brandywine Zoo.




Ribbon cutting celebrates DNREC’s opening of new state-of-the-art boat ramp at Holts Landing State Park

DNREC Secretary David Small and Division of Parks & Recreation Director Ray Bivens were joined by State Senator Gerald Hocker, State Representative Ron Gray, staff from three DNREC Divisions including Fish & Wildlife and Watershed Stewardship, Parks Friends groups and members of the community to cut the ribbon opening a new state-of-the-art dual boat ramp at Holts Landing State Park in Millville.




Delaware students to compete in state Envirothon on April 28

Students from around the state will meet at Brecknock Park in Camden on April 28 to compete in the 21st annual Delaware Envirothon.




2017/18 Delaware Waterfowl and 2017 Trout Stamp winners announced

A painting of canvasback ducks with a Chesapeake Bay retriever by Catherine Temple of Clarkston, Wash., will grace the 2017/18 Delaware Waterfowl Stamp, and a painting of a brown trout by Jeffrey Klinefelter of Etna Green, Ind., will adorn the 2017 Delaware Trout Stamp.




Delaware Office of Boating Safety and Education encourages boaters to prepare for season by taking a boating safety course

The Delaware Office of Boating Safety and Education joins the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) to encourage boaters to “Spring Aboard,” an April 17-23 national campaign to prepare for boating season by enrolling in a boating safety course.
