Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police Blotter: Nov. 14-20

Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police officers between Nov. 14-20 made 1,379 contacts with anglers, hunters, boaters and the general public, including 24 vessel boardings for boating safety and fishing regulation compliance checks, issuing 106 citations. Officers responded to 56 complaints regarding possible violations of laws and regulations or requests to assist the public.

To achieve public compliance through education and enforcement actions that help conserve Delaware’s fish and wildlife resources and ensure safe boating and public safety, Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police officers between Oct. 24-30 made 2,009 contacts with anglers, hunters, boaters and the general public, including 72 vessel boardings for boating safety and fishing regulation compliance checks.




DNREC sets Saturday, Nov. 5 deer hunt for youth and non-ambulatory disabled hunters

To promote and provide additional hunting opportunities, DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife has designated Saturday, Nov. 5 as Delaware’s annual deer hunting day for youth hunters ages 10 through 15 and for non-ambulatory disabled hunters on both public and private lands statewide.

With many of Delaware’s fall hunting seasons underway, DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife invites you to enter your hunting photographs taken while afield in the 2016/17 Delaware Hunting Photo Contest. The winning photo will be featured on the cover or inside of the 2017/18 Delaware Hunting and Trapping Guide to be published next year.
