Images discovered on laptop computer by Dover-area repair shop

Dover – Attorney General Beau Biden announced today that the Delaware Child Predator Task Force has arrested a Dover man on child pornography charges.  The Task Force initiated its investigation after Delaware State Police received a report from a Dover area computer shop that a laptop computer brought in for repair contained images of child pornography.  Task Force detectives secured a search warrant for the laptop and a preliminary forensic analysis revealed numerous images of child pornography.  As a result, an arrest warrant was obtained for the owner/possessor of the laptop, 21 year-old Jeremy N. Trower, and a search warrant was obtained for his residence, located in the first block of Coverly Court in the Carlisle Village development of Dover.  During the search of the residence two additional computers and other digital media were seized.

“Thanks in part to the vigilance and cooperation of members of our community, the Delaware Child Predator Task Force is taking proactive measures to protect victims of child pornography,” Attorney General Biden said.

As a result of the investigation, which is ongoing, Trower was charged with 25 counts of dealing in child pornography. After arraignment at JP Court #2 he was committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center in lieu of $250,000 secured bail.

The booking mug shot of Trower is attached.
