Absentee ballots are available for School Board and referenda elections

Wilmington DE – Eligible citizens who live in the 5 northern school districts in New Castle County can request absentee ballots for School Board elections in each of the school districts. People can also request ballots for referenda in the Appoquinimink and Colonial School Districts. Affidavits to request ballots for these elections are available at http://de.gov/schaff13. Affidavits must be received by the Department at least 4 days before the day of the election in order for the Department to mail a ballot to an applicant. Voted absentee ballots must be returned to the Department’s office no later than 8 p.m. on the day of the election.
People can also vote at the Department’s office in the Carvel State Office Building, 820 N French St, Suite 400 in Wilmington between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. during normal business hours and until 12 Noon the day before the elections. People who vote in the Department’s office must show proof of identity and address.
