DEVELOPING AUTHENTIC CUSTOMIZED WORK-BASED LEARNING EXPERIENCES AND JOBS FOR STUDENTS AND ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES:

AN INTENSIVE ONLINE BOOT CAMP FOR EDUCATORS & EMPLOYMENT SPECIALISTS

Announcing the latest version of this popular training, that combines asynchronous online instruction and a live interactive coaching seminar!  Topics include:

  • Cultivate a Mindset of Possibility
  • A Career Coaching Approach to Vocational Support
  • Whole Person Assessment
  • Position and Pitch Yourself as a Business Person
  • Build Your Employer Network
  • Pave the Road to Customized Employment
  • Workplace Supports (Part 1): From Job Coach to Workplace Consultant
  • Workplace Supports (Part 2): Techniques Through a Career Coach Lens

When:  On Wednesday July 14, 2021 —  eight video recorded modules and a workbook of activities will be released to registered participants to complete on your ownAn online, live coaching seminar will be held on Wednesday July 21, 2021 (from 3:30-5:30 pm). 

 

In order to receive a certificate of completion for the course, for 15 seat hours, participants MUST:

 

(1) Watch the 8 recorded lectures and complete all associated activities in the workbook;

(2) Attend the live online coaching seminar (Wed, July 21, 3:30-5:30 pm); and

(3) Complete the online course quiz/survey administered at the end of the live seminar.

 

 

To apply:  Complete the attached application form AND a completed Positive Personal Profile and submit to:

employmentbootcampde@gmail.com   There is no fee charged to you for this training.

VERY IMPORTANT: This class will be limited to 15 participants. The deadline for applications is 5 pm on Friday July 9, 2021.  We will close the application once we have 15 eligible applicants.  If you are not selected for this cohort, we will add you to an applicant list for a later cohort, on another date. 

You must complete the application for yourself.  Multiple submissions by a supervisor will not be accepted. 

We will notify you of your acceptance status on Monday July 12, 2021.  Course materials will be released on Wednesday, July 14 —  by 2 pm.
