Tip To Delaware Crime Stoppers Nets Apprehension Of Work Release Absconder Who Fled To North Carolina

Dover, DE – The Delaware Department of Correction today announced that a work release absconder from the Plummer Community Corrections Center in Wilmington has been apprehended in North Carolina thanks to a tip received by Delaware Crime Stoppers.

On May 8, 2023, Kendal Seth failed to return from an approved work pass to the Plummer Community Corrections Center.  Click here to read DOC’s absconder announcement.  As part of the effort to locate and apprehend the offender, Plummer Community Corrections Center enlisted the assistance of Delaware Crime Stoppers which worked with investigators to initiate supplemental paid social media outreach targeted to an area in North Carolina frequented by the absconder.  That social media outreach triggered a tip to Delaware Crime Stoppers from a North Carolina resident.  The information received was shared with local law enforcement and on June 8, 2023 Kendal Seth was located by the Kinston Police Department in North Carolina and taken into custody.

“The Department of Correction values our strong partnership with Delaware Crime Stoppers and we want to thank them for their help in this case and their ongoing efforts on our behalf to help return absconders to custody and keep the public safe,” said Commissioner Monroe B. Hudson Jr.

Current Offense: Rape 4th of a victim under 16 years of age

Offender Seth is currently being held at the Lenoir County Jail pending extradition to Delaware. Once returned to Delaware Seth will be charged with Escape After Conviction and other pending charges.
