A partnership between the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) and Delaware’s Department of Technology and Information (DTI) with the Northeast Recycling Council (NERC) in the national State Electronics Challenge has saved the state more than $110,000 in energy costs for 2017.




Three additional private wells in Blades area return test results exceeding EPA’s health advisory level for PFCs

DNREC and the Division of Public Health announced today that three private wells tested Feb. 19 in the Blades area by the US Environmental Protection Agency had returned results exceeding the EPA’s national health advisory level for perfluorinated compounds (PFCs). DNREC and EPA immediately notified the property owners of the test results and provided home carbon filtration systems for their water supply.

DNREC’s Solid and Hazardous Waste Management Section’s Recycling Program has a new interactive game that travels to Delaware middle schools and helps enlighten students about single-stream recycling. The “Bin It to Win It” game is part of the Recycling Program’s new “Clean the Stream” recycling campaign.
