Delaware’s Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) has launched a new law enforcement app, enabling the public to connect with the department’s Natural Resources Police officers, receive alerts, and submit anonymous tips from their smartphones.

DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife is promoting hunting seasons opening in November, including Delaware’s popular November shotgun deer season – which runs from Friday, Nov. 9 thru Sunday, Nov. 18, including Sunday, Nov. 11 – the season during which the highest number of deer are harvested by hunters in the state.

DNREC Division of Parks & Recreation Observation Tower in Cape Henlopen State Park to undergo repairs beginning Nov. 5

DNREC has announced that Tower 7, also known as the Observation Tower, at Cape Henlopen State Park will be closed for repairs from November 5 through the end of the year.
DNREC announces availability of Community Environmental Project Fund grant applications

DNREC Secretary Shawn M. Garvin has announced the availability of grants under the Community Environmental Project Fund. The grant program, created by the general Assembly in 2004, enables DNREC to withhold 25 percent of all civil or administrative penalties collected by the Department as funds to benefit communities where civil or administrative violations occurred, and provides for the restoration of these affected communities.
