Anglers invited to fish for free in Delaware waters June 2 and 3

To celebrate National Fishing and Boating Week, June 2-10, DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife invites you to fish, crab, and clam in any Delaware waters by offering free fishing days on Saturday and Sunday, June 2 and 3.




DNREC-sponsored 2016 Becoming an Outdoors-Woman program to be held as one-day events Sept. 24 and Oct. 8

Registration is now open for Delaware’s 2016 Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) program, which will be held on Saturday, Sept. 24 at Cape Henlopen State Park in Lewes and Saturday, Oct. 8 at Lums Pond State Park in Bear.




DNREC Fish & Wildlife Enforcement Blotter: April 16-23; Reminder for the week: As season starts, crabbers need be attentive to regs and rigs

To achieve public compliance through education and enforcement actions that help conserve Delaware’s fish and wildlife resources and ensure safe boating and public safety, DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife Enforcement agents between April 16-23 made 597 contacts with hunters, anglers and boaters, and other members of the public, including 57 boardings for boating safety/fishing regulation compliance checks. Agents responded to 33 complaints and issued 22 citations for violations of fish, game, traffic and criminal regulations.
