Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police officers between Nov. 7-13 made 1,624 contacts with anglers, hunters, boaters and the general public, including 40 vessel boardings for boating safety and fishing regulation compliance checks, issuing 79 citations.




Free admission at Delaware State Parks on Black Friday

Delaware State Parks and outdoor recreation retailer Recreational Equipment, Inc. (REI), invite the public to #OptOutside on Black Friday, Nov. 25, when admission to all of Delaware’s state parks will be free of charge. REI initiated the “Opt Outside” program last year to encourage children and families to enjoy the outdoors, rather than participate in Black Friday retail sales.




New Delaware State Parks annual passes go on sale Nov. 25

New annual Delaware State Parks passes, good for admission year-round to all state parks, go on sale online beginning Friday, Nov. 25, and at authorized stores and park offices beginning Monday, Nov. 28.




Delaware waterfowl hunting seasons reopen Nov. 21-26

DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife reminds waterfowl hunters that Delaware’s next seasonal segment for hunting both migratory ducks and Canada geese runs from Monday, Nov. 21 through Saturday, Nov. 26.
