Week 6 Results for Checkpoint Strikeforce
Twelve (12) people were arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) of alcohol and/or drugs during the sixth weekend of the 2012 Checkpoint Strikeforce DUI prevention campaign. This brings the total DUI arrests made as part of the campaign to 71. Statewide, there have been over 2,800 DUI arrests made in Delaware this year.
Week 5 Results for Checkpoint Strikeforce
Seventeen (17) people were arrested for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) of alcohol and/or drugs during the fifth weekend of the 2012 Checkpoint Strikeforce DUI prevention campaign. This brings the total DUI arrests made as part of the campaign to 59. Statewide, there have been over 2,800 DUI arrests made in Delaware this year.

State Suspends License of Newark Physician for Serious Violations of Medical Practice Act
Secretary of State Jeffrey Bullock and the President of the Board of Medical Licensure and Discipline, Dr. Stephen Cooper, have ordered the emergency suspension of Dr. Pierre LeRoy’s medical license for committing serious violations of the Delaware Medical Practice Act.

“I urge Delawareans to look in their medicine cabinets and take any unused medications to one of these drop-off sites,” said Governor Jack Markell. “We can do our part to keep drugs out of the hands of those who might abuse them and help our environment by properly disposing of drugs we don’t need.”
