The Delaware Division of Fish & Wildlife is again implementing an annual Snow Goose Conservation Order, which began in 2009 as part of an Atlantic Flyway-wide effort to reduce the population of greater snow geese.

The Delaware Advisory Council on Wildlife and Freshwater Fish will consider possible hunting and trapping fee increases presented by DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife at its 7 p.m. meeting Tuesday, Jan. 26 at DNREC’s Richardson & Robbins Building Auditorium, in Dover.




2016/17 Delaware Waterfowl, 2016 Trout Stamp art contest winners are announced

Two artists have won top honors in the state’s sporting stamp art contests. A painting of green-winged teal with a yellow Labrador retriever by Deanne “Dee Dee” Murry of Centralia, Wash., will grace the 2016/17 Delaware Waterfowl Stamp, and a painting of a brown trout by Nicholas Markell of Hugo, Minn., will become the face of the 2016 Delaware Trout Stamp.
