The DNREC Shoreline and Waterway Management Section expects to complete a channel marker installation project and maintenance activities on five major boating waters in Delaware’s Inland Bays ahead of the Memorial Day weekend so Delaware boaters can enjoy the traditional start of their season.

Five of the most popular drive-on beaches for surf fishing in Delaware require reservations on weekends and holidays beginning May 23, but reservations at seven other locations are not required since a change was adopted in 2025.
