Seaford educator named Delaware’s 2019 Teacher of the Year

An elementary special education teacher from the Seaford School District is Delaware’s 2019 State Teacher of the Year. Governor John Carney made the announcement tonight at the annual banquet honoring the 20 district and charter teachers of the year at Dover Downs Hotel and Conference Center in Dover.

DPH Announces Sustained Funding for Overdose-Reversing Medication Naloxone

Increasing access to the overdose-reversing medication naloxone has been a key priority for the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS) as state and local partners work together to develop solutions to address the opioid epidemic. In support of that, the Department’s Division of Public Health (DPH) is announcing sustained funding for naloxone for first responder agencies statewide.




Delaware Awarded Latest Round of STEP Grant Funds to Support Small Business Exports

For the fourth year in a row, the Delaware Department of State has received a State Trade and Export Promotion (STEP) award from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA.) This year’s award totals $268,096 and will be used to support the state’s efforts to assist small Delaware companies in entering and developing markets overseas.
