Delaware State Parks planted its 75,000th tree at Trap Pond State Park in honor of its 75th anniversary to improve air and water quality, preserve soil and support wildlife.

Twelve Delaware community projects will receive a total of $523,179 in 2027 from grants awarded through the Community Environmental Project Fund (CEPF) administered by DNREC. The CEPF funding supports projects that mitigate pollution, enhance the environment and create recreational opportunities for affected communities.

DNREC has updated Delaware hunting guidance concerning direct supervision for 18- to 20-year-old hunters after a state Supreme Court ruling struck down a lower court decision that had allowed 18- to 20-year-olds to hunt without direct supervision when using a range of hunting firearms.
