The intermittent closure of the Augustine Beach Boat Ramp has been extended through Aug. 1 to complete maintenance dredging of the boat ramp access channel.

DNREC Secretary Shawn M. Garvin was joined by legislators, the Fort Miles Historical Association, and other supporters today at a ribbon-cutting celebrating numerous improvements at Fort Miles. The Fort Miles Museum and Historical Area has expanded with a new parking lot and paved road, enabling visitors to access the area more easily.
