DOVER – Delaware’s Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) and New Jersey’s Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) announced today that the Zuni/Tamaroa, a World War II-era ship with a famed history at sea that continued into the 1990s, has been cleared by the US Environmental Protection Agency and the US Coast Guard for sinking onto the Del-Jersey-Land Inshore Artificial Reef.

DOVER – After investigating recent complaints made to DNREC’s Office of Community Services, Natural Resources Police Environmental Crimes Unit recently charged two Sussex men with an array of trash dumping violations – with one of the men arrested for operating an illegal dump site on a 19-acre parcel near Frankford.

Delaware fourth graders ‘Make a Splash’ and learn about protecting water resources

More than 770 fourth-grade students from seven elementary schools participated in Wednesday’s Make a Splash festival, a DNREC-sponsored event that educates students on the diversity of estuary life and the importance of Delaware’s water resources.
