DNREC now accepting grant proposals for community water quality improvement projects

DOVER – DNREC’s Division of Watershed Stewardship is now accepting project proposals for matching grants for community water quality improvement projects. Delaware non-profit organizations, conservation districts, community organizations and homeowner’s associations are eligible to apply. Proposals must be received by 4:30 p.m. March 15, 2017.




DNREC Division of Energy & Climate expands clean vehicle rebates to include ‘bi-fuel’ vehicles

DNREC’s Division of Energy & Climate is expanding its popular Clean Vehicle Rebate program to include rebates for bi-fuel vehicles – propane or natural gas powered vehicles that also run on either gasoline or diesel. Delaware drivers will be eligible for a $1,350 rebate on bi-fuel vehicles purchased on or after Jan. 1, 2017.

Gov. Markell, DNREC Sec. Small announce $714,076 in recycling grants awarded to schools, businesses and municipalities

Governor Markell and DNREC Secretary Small were joined by Delaware Recycling Public Advisory Council Chair B.J. Vinton to announce $714,076 in recycling assistance grants to schools, businesses and municipalities for projects that develop or expand waste reduction, reuse or recycling activities.




DNREC’s Division of Energy & Climate announces changes to the Green Energy Fund

DNREC’s Division of Energy & Climate today announced changes to the Green Energy Fund grant program for Delmarva Power residential customers. Projects with contracts signed on or after Dec. 1 will see slightly reduced grants for customer-owned solar energy systems. Another change to the program is that grants will no longer be offered for systems installed using a lease/power purchase agreement (PPA) financing model.
