2013 Click It Or Ticket Enforcement Results

Over the past two weeks, officers from approximately 30 State, County, and municipal law enforcement agencies issued a total of 1,010 citations to unbuckled motorists during the 12th annual Click It or Ticket campaign. The enforcement portion of the campaign ran from May 13th through 27th and involved traffic safety checkpoints and saturation patrols both day and night along with Border to Border enforcement collaboration of police agencies.

Recently, our communities gathered in our annual Memorial Day commemorations to recognize those who have made the ultimate sacrifice. This week, as we mourn the loss of another of our country’s best and brightest, we again reflect on the courage of our servicemen and women. The famous World War II era reporter Elmer Davis rightly commented that “this nation will remain the land of the free only so long as it is the home of the brave.” Warrant Officer Sean Mullen exemplified that bravery.

The Board of Elections for New Castle County certified the results of the June 4th Colonial School District Referendum at its meeting on June 6th: 3,005 for the tax increase and 2,938 against the tax increase.
