DNREC Shares Public Information Sources About Environmental Releases, Air Quality in Light of Refinery Incident

Two of Delaware’s most popular and productive hunting seasons – for wild turkey and white-tailed deer – have yielded state record harvests for both game species during the 2024-’25 season, DNREC announced today. It’s an historic harvest for both species to set records during the same overall hunting season.

DNREC’s Aquatic Resources Education Center near Smyrna has an outdoors family recreational treat on tap with the return of the popular summer seining program “Life in the Bay.” The program is geared toward children age 6 and older but also is beckoning adults who want to learn more about the fish species and other aquatic creatures that inhabit the Delaware Bay.




DNREC Reminds Anglers Reservations Are Required for Drive-On Surf Fishing Beaches Weekends and Holidays

DNREC reminds anglers wanting to try their luck at any of the seven Delaware State Parks’ multi-use beaches that surf fishing reservations are required during summer weekends and holidays. Reservations can be starting at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 20.
