Governor Matt Meyer joined Delaware Division of Small Business Director CJ Bell to launch the Delaware Commercial Corridor Initiative (DCCI), a new statewide program designed to help small businesses improve their storefronts, buildings and operations while revitalizing Delaware’s downtown and commercial districts.




Delaware on Main Street Program Grows as 17 Communities Earn National Designations

The Delaware on Main Street (DOMS) Program, operating within the Delaware Division of Small Business (DSB), presented certificates of accreditation or affiliation to 17 downtown organizations on behalf of Main Street America.




DSB Launches Delaware Opportunity Zone 2.0 Mapping Tool

The DE Division of Small Business has just launched a map showing the 61 census tracts in Delaware eligible to be nominated for the next round of Opportunity Zones. The mapping tool shows current opportunity zones and allows users to add a layer that shows both rural and non-rural eligible census tracts.




EDGE 2.0 Finalists and Pitch Competition Dates Announced

The Delaware Division of Small Business is excited to announce the finalists for the EDGE 2.0 Grant Pitch Competition, on Thursday April 30 and Friday May 1, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Delaware Technical Community College in Dover. The public is invited to watch the competition in-person. There is no cost, but registration to secure your seat is required at https://bit.ly/4sAcqQa. There are nine Entrepreneur category finalists and eight STEM category finalists. One hundred twenty-three individuals applied for this round of EDGE, the thirteenth since the program’s launch.




DSB Closing In – Approaching $10 Million in SSBCI ‘Race to $14M’

The Delaware Division of Small Business (DSB) is closing in on its goal in the ‘Race to $14M’ initiative. DSB has allocated another $5.93M in federal funding since late August as part of its Small State Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI). That brings the total of funds obligated or distributed to $9.92M since April 24 and leaves just over $4M that needs to be awarded so DSB can access the next round of these federal dollars.
