DNREC’s Aquatic Resources Education Center to host ‘Go Fish Delaware!’ family fishing festival Saturday, May 12

Visitors of all ages are invited to learn all about fishing at the Go Fish Delaware! Family Fishing Festival to be held, rain or shine, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12, at the Aquatic Resources Education Center, located off Route 9 east of Smyrna. Admission is free and open to the public.




OHS Motorcycle Safety Awareness Event This Saturday Sept. 15th

Delmarva Bike Week is being held September 13th to 16th with lots of activities from Seaford, DE to Ocean City, MD for riders of all kinds. During this time motorist can expect to see more motorcyclists on the roads and the Delaware Office of Highway (OHS) wants to remind all how to share the road safely by hosting a Motorcycle Awareness event at Grotto Pizza in Milford on Route 1 on Saturday September 15th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.




What Really Happened to Amelia Earhart?

Join aircraft recovery expert Richard E. Gillespie as he presents his program “What Really Happened to Amelia Earhart?” on March 3 at the Delaware Public Archives in Dover. A former accident investigator and risk manager for the aviation insurance industry, Gillespie is the author of the book Finding Amelia – The True Story of the Earhart Disappearance.




Learn More about the Tuskegee Airmen of World War II

The Delaware Public Archives is hosting a program entitled “The Tuskegee Airmen” this Saturday, February 4 at 10:30 a.m. as part of its celebration of Black History Month.
