White Clay Wild and Scenic Program, in partnership with DNREC’s Division of Parks and Recreation, United Water Suez Environment and the National Park Service, invites the public to the fifth annual White Clay Creek Fest scheduled for May 4 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Carpenter Recreation Area in White Clay Creek State Park – just minutes away from University of Delaware’s north campus.

Governor Markell ordered flags to be lowered between April 16 and 22 as a mark of respect for the victims of the April 15 bombings in Boston, Massachusetts.




Training workshop on managing invasive plants set for April 24; registration required by April 22

A training workshop on preventing and managing invasive plants and supporting healthy habitats will be held 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 24 at the St. Jones Reserve, 818 Kitts Hummock Road in Dover. The workshop is a partnership among DNREC’s Delaware Coastal Training Program, the Delaware Invasive Species Council and the Mid-Atlantic Invasive Plant Council.
