Lt. Governor Hall-Long’s Statement on President Trump’s Executive Order Ending Health Care Cost-Sharing Reductions

Lt. Governor Bethany Hall-Long | Office of the Lieutenant Governor | Date Posted: Friday, October 13, 2017

DOVER, Del- Lt. Governor Bethany Hall-Long released the following statement in light of President Trump’s Executive Order ending health care cost-sharing reductions, ending affordable healthcare for thousands of Delawareans:

“I am deeply disappointed by President Trump’s decision to limit coverage options and increase premiums for millions of Americans receiving affordable health care. His executive order will increase premiums and limit coverage options, ultimately creating an unfair burden for working Delaware families who need coverage the most. We must work together to fight against these policies, and work together to improve upon and expand affordable healthcare options for all Delawareans.”
