The Department of Services for Children, Youth and Their Families (DSCYF) will be providing additional funding so that positive opportunities for youth will be available at selected community centers in Wilmington for the summer. In addition, DSCYF will provide funding to the city of Wilmington to reinstate last summer’s successful curfew center program.




More than 100,000 acres of Delaware farmland permanently preserved

Thanks to efforts over the last two decades, Delaware has now permanently preserved more than 100,000 acres of farmland, a milestone that protects a fifth of all agricultural land in the state. “Preserving agriculture is vital to our state’s economy and growing jobs,” said Gov. Jack Markell.

The Delaware Veterans Home recently celebrated the fifth anniversary of the day when it welcomed its first residents. Two of the first five residents took part in a commemoration of the anniversary on Wednesday at the Home in Milford.
