Workers’ Compensation Task Force Reconvenes

As part of its recommendations, the task force suggested that it be kept in existence on a temporary basis, both to consider some issues that it did not have time to discuss during the short time that it had to make recommendations, and so that it can monitor the impact of its recommendations and suggest stricter measures with respect to medical costs if necessary.




DUI Checkpoints Continue

A total of eighty-eight (88) people were arrested statewide last week for Driving Under the Influence (DUI) of alcohol and/or drugs. Of those 88 individuals, eleven (11) were arrested at Checkpoint Strikeforce DUI checkpoints over the Labor Day weekend. Statewide, there have been 2,823 DUI arrests made in Delaware this year.

Tom Carper, Chair of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, joined emergency management leaders from Delaware to urge Delawareans to make sure their homes, businesses and loved ones are prepared for an emergency, as a part of National Emergency Preparedness Month.




Kent County man charged with dealing in child pornography

A Delaware Child Predator Task Force investigation into the online distribution of child pornography has resulted in the arrest of a Kenton man, Attorney General Beau Biden announced today.
