With the first hurricane of the season tracking up the Atlantic Coast, Delaware emergency management officials are urging the public to take this storm very seriously. While it is too early to accurately predict the strength and exact path of Sandy by the time it reaches the Delmarva area everyone is encouraged to be prepared for disruptive weather.

(Smyrna) Emergency Management officials continue to monitor the latest weather forecasts and hurricane tracks, as Hurricane Sandy makes its way northward toward the Delaware area.




Delaware to Distribute Potassium Iodide (KI) Tablets

The Delaware Emergency Management Agency (DEMA) and Delaware Division of Public Health will distribute potassium iodide (KI) tablets to Delaware residents living within a ten mile radius of the Salem/Hope Creek Nuclear Generating Stations.
