State Park Rangers’ investigation into vehicle break-ins leads to arrests of Wilmington couple

An investigation by Delaware State Park Rangers into a series of vehicle break-ins over the last three months at White Clay Creek and Brandywine Creek State Parks culminated in the arrests April 19 of a Wilmington couple on an array of criminal charges.

Third and final Fort DuPont master plan meeting on the complex’s future set for April 18 in Delaware City

The last of three community meetings on the future of the Historic Fort DuPont Complex will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 18, at the Delaware City Community Center.




DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife facilities, Delaware State Parks will close at 5 p.m. Sunday Oct. 28 until further notice for expected storm

All Delaware State Parks and DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife facilities – including state wildlife areas – will close at 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 28 in anticipation of Hurricane/Tropical Storm Sandy’s projected path through and impact on the Mid-Atlantic region, including Delaware.




Delaware State Parks to Expand Tobacco Free Areas

Tobacco free areas in certain sections of Delaware’s state parks will be expanded beginning July 1, 2012. Areas newly affected will include designated swim beaches and trails, boardwalks and bath houses, fishing piers, general picnic areas and youth camps, and other areas.
