Governor Markell Recognizes T.E.A.C.H Early Childhood ® Scholars

Recognizing the commitment early learning professionals across the state have made to increasing their own education and to raising the quality of teaching and care they provide to young children, Governor Jack Markell and Secretary of Education Steven Godowsky joined Delaware Early Childhood Council Chair Mary Kate Mouser and other leaders to celebrate the achievements of the more than 200 early childhood professionals who participated in the T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® program in 2015.

Zip Code Wilmington Announces All Members of Initial Graduating Class Obtained Employment Opportunities

Zip Code Wilmington, a coding bootcamp providing training in advanced computer programming techniques, announced that all 16 members of its initial graduate class have secured offers of full-time employment, or a paid apprenticeship, that they will enter upon completion of the course.



Pathways to Prosperity Grants Will Support 55 High School Programs Beginning in 2016

Governor Markell announced $600,000 in grants for new high school pathway programs to expand a statewide effort that prepares students to excel in key fields that offer good job opportunities in the new economy.
