In his final State of the State speech, Delaware Governor Jack Markell proposed an agenda that positions Delaware to leverage its highly trained citizens and welcoming business climate to build opportunities for sustained job creation in an ever-changing economy.
Governor Markell delivered his annual State of the State Address in Legislative Hall before members of the General Assembly, Cabinet members, and fellow Delawareans.
Following through on a charge announced during his State of the State Address in January, Governor Markell unveiled plans to end veterans’ homelessness in Delaware.
With the support of grants announced by Governor Markell, 15 Delaware high schools, spread across the state, will launch intensive programs in the fall to prepare students to excel in key fields that offer good job opportunities in the new economy.
