DSB and BioConnect DE Announce STAR Fund Details

The Delaware Division of Small Business (DSB), in partnership with BioConnect DE, are announcing the details for the STEM Talent Advancement and Retention (STAR) Fund. The STAR Fund will provide tuition reimbursement awards for student loans of up to $6,000, as a way to incentivize, retain, and attract graduates from an accredited post-secondary college or university, who are currently employed or are considering employment in Delaware in the science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields.




Governor Meyer and Division of Small Business Highlight $14M Available in Small Business Funding

On Thursday, Governor Matt Meyer joined Division of Small Business (DSB) Director CJ Bell to highlight the urgent need to get $14M in the hands of small business owners before the end of the calendar year and re-launch the program providing these funds, the Small State Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI).




2025 State Finalists Announced for White House STEM Recognition

The Delaware Department of Education has named six Delaware teachers as state finalists for the 2025 Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST), the highest recognition that K-12 STEM teachers can receive for outstanding teaching in the United States. Finalists’ applications will now move forward to the national level for final selection of the 2025 PAEMST National Awardees. 




Delaware Launches Educational Esports Program

Delaware is launching a statewide educational esports program for K12 students, a groundbreaking initiative aiming to foster teamwork, critical thinking and STEM skills through competitive scholastic sports.




2025 EDGE Grant Informational Webinar Set for Jan. 22nd

To help potential applicants prepare for the 2025 EDGE Grant Competition in February, the Division of Small Business is hosting a webinar on Wednesday January 22, at 10:00 a.m. Registration is required, so go to de.gov/edge to sign up! The webinar will help attendees learn what elements are needed for a successful application.
