DNREC Division of Fish & Wildlife announces 2019/20 Delaware Waterfowl Stamp and 2019 Trout Stamp winners
Two artists, including a renowned name on both the national level and here in Delaware, have won top honors in the state’s Waterfowl and Trout Stamp art contests.
DNREC invites wildlife art enthusiasts, stamp and print collectors, waterfowl hunters, anglers, birdwatchers, wetland conservationists, and working retriever fans to gather at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, April 12 for the judging of Delaware’s annual Waterfowl Stamp and Trout Stamp contests, which will be held at the Dover Public Library, on Loockerman Plaza, in Dover.
A painting of canvasback ducks with a Chesapeake Bay retriever by Catherine Temple of Clarkston, Wash., will grace the 2017/18 Delaware Waterfowl Stamp, and a painting of a brown trout by Jeffrey Klinefelter of Etna Green, Ind., will adorn the 2017 Delaware Trout Stamp.
Two artists have won top honors in the state’s sporting stamp art contests. A painting of green-winged teal with a yellow Labrador retriever by Deanne “Dee Dee” Murry of Centralia, Wash., will grace the 2016/17 Delaware Waterfowl Stamp, and a painting of a brown trout by Nicholas Markell of Hugo, Minn., will become the face of the 2016 Delaware Trout Stamp.
