We will only reach our state’s potential if we unleash the potential of every Delawarean. But for too long we’ve given up on too many of our people. Our rate of incarceration is among the highest in the world, but instead of safer communities, we have high rates of recidivism. And ex-offenders face major obstacles when they try to build productive lives. We must give those who repay their debt to society a fair chance to successfully reintegrate into our state.

Newark man charged with dealing in child pornography

Attorney General Beau Biden’s office announced today that a Newark man has been charged with dealing in child pornography following an investigation by the Delaware Child Predator Task Force.

Highway Safety Officials Stress Traffic Enforcement

The Office of Highway Safety (OHS) is stressing the importance of traffic safety after a deadly first week in July and reminding motorists law enforcement officers are out enforcing these laws to help protect the public and save lives. Several enforcement campaigns are in effect to address speeding, impaired driving, motorcycle safety, pedestrian safety and seat belt use; most of which were a factor in the crashes last week.
