Governor Markell Orders Flags Lowered

With the passing of former First Lady Nancy Reagan on Sunday, March 6, 2016, Governor Markell has ordered American and Delaware flags at state buildings and facilities be flown at half-staff beginning immediately as a mark of respect for the memory of Mrs. Reagan. The lowering of the flags also marks the passing of Former Delaware Supreme Court Justice Henry Ridgely Horsey on March 3, 2016.

The Governor today extended his condolences to the family of former state Supreme Court Justice Henry Ridgely Horsey, who passed away yesterday at the age of 91. Judge Horsey served on the Delaware Supreme Court from 1978 until 1994.

Aiming to build on progress that has led to the best job creation of any state in the region, Democratic and Republican leadership of the House and Senate today introduced the bipartisan Delaware Commitment to Innovation Act (SB 200) in advance of the General Assembly returning to session on Tuesday.
