Joshua Meier to exhibit photographs related to memory in the Mezzanine Gallery in August

[Un]Remembering is about the process of selecting which experiences we choose to remember and those we choose to forget—in other words, the editing of memories. In this way, the act of forgetting takes on a more active role as we decide what to hold on to and what to let go; the memories we wish to keep intact and those we attempt to recreate.

This solo exhibition of Frey’s work will showcase a series of collage paintings which focus mainly on the sole objective of beauty. The artist intends for the viewer to react emotionally, visually and physically to the complex surfaces of her work.

The artist explores nature by going on routine walks; along the way gathering different subject matter that resonate with her. She often uses leaves and twigs and other materials that many people tend to overlook.




Jessica Stephens to Display Jewelry Inspired by Landscapes in the Mezzanine Gallery in April

The artist experiments with different materials such as coral, sterling silver, copper, and enamel. Relying heavily on line and basic geometric forms, Stephens’ intention is to create abstract and fragmented topographic studies.
