On Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 at 2 p.m., the Zwaanendael Museum, located at 102 Kings Highway in Lewes, Del., will present a lecture on Fort Miles by Dr. Gary Wray, president of the Fort Miles Historical Association.




PROGRAMS RESCHEDULED–African-American-themed events at the state of Delaware’s downtown Dover museums rescheduled from Jan. 4 to Jan. 18, 2014

Due to an emergency-weather cancellation, three African-American-themed programs, originally scheduled for Jan. 4, 2014 at the state’s downtown Dover museums, have been rescheduled for Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014.

Students Honored at the 12th Annual Delaware Day Fourth Grade Competition Ceremony

Signers’ Awards given at the Delaware Public Archives. Students were given two months to prepare an informative and artistic four panel display on Delaware’s role in its writing and ratifying the U.S. Constitution which may include art work, poetry, songs, or political cartoons. Representatives from the Department of State judged 34 projects focusing on three main areas: accuracy, spelling and creativity.
