Department of Education to release millions of new records to open data portal
The Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) is releasing close to 10 million new data records to Delaware’s Open Data Portal. The current DDOE education data sets will be replaced by 15 new sets covering both educator and student aggregate data spanning 2015-2019. This data release greatly expands the education data provided on the portal and is designed to allow for deeper and more comprehensive analysis.
Applications now open for high-needs educator student loan payment program
Delaware educators who work in high-needs districts or content areas are eligible to apply for this year’s High Needs Educator Student Loan Payment program.
Delaware ranks third in the nation in FAFSA completion
Delaware students and families rank third in the nation in filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form, according to new data released by the National College Access Network. Completion rates serve as early indicators of post-secondary access and success.
State awards $2.6 million in grants to 85 schools
This is the fourth year the department has awarded Reimagining Professional Learning grants to support the work of schools committed to improving the quality and efficacy of professional learning for teachers in Delaware and thus increase learning opportunities and outcomes for students.
