DNREC has reopened the Indian River Bay to clamming and shellfish harvest after a mandatory 21-day closure that followed a Jan. 15 wastewater release from the town of Millsboro’s sewage system.




DNREC Closes Indian River Bay to Clamming and Mussels

DNREC has temporarily closed Indian River Bay to clamming, mussel harvest and shellfish aquaculture as a public health precaution due to an ongoing sewage release, while Rehoboth Bay aquaculture oysters and the harvest of crabs, conch and finfish remain unaffected.




DNREC Announces Reopening of Ingrams Pond Boat Ramp After Reconstruction Project and Expansion of Amenities

DNREC announced today the reopening of the Ingrams Pond Boat Ramp near Millsboro following a four-month construction project to upgrade the facility. Upgrades by the DNREC Division of Fish and Wildlife include a new ramp, installation of a new courtesy dock, expansion of an existing parking lot to accommodate boat trailers and car spaces, and other site amenities.

DNREC announced that the Ingrams Pond Boat Ramp near Millsboro will be closed as of Monday, Feb. 24 for construction of a new ramp to include a courtesy dock and an expanded ramp parking lot.
